How to measure and confirm my slide topper awning size?

1. If there is an old awning on your slide topper, please measure the old awning fabric size.

If not, measure the flange edge-to-edge distance of your slide-out and set it as your fabric size.

Your awning size should be 7 inches longer than the fabric size.

*The awning should cover the fabric

Noted: Please confirm twice that there are no obstacles around the awning, as this will affect its operation.

How do I choose the right size for my awning?

Please confirm your awning fabric size first and choose the awning size according to (fabric size+7 inches).

How long is the extension distance of the slide topper awning?

The standard extension for the Awnlux slide topper awning is 51 inches (4 feet).

If your slide box extension is smaller, any extra fabric can simply remain on the roller.

I don't have anything for a topper. I require all the parts to put this on my camper. Do the slide topper awnings come with all the hardware for installation? Does this price cover everything I need?

Yes, our slide topper awning set includes an awning frame, fabric, roller tubes, sail track, brackets, screws, and instructions, with all the accessories needed for the installation process.

Will this awning fit an RV that is prepped for a Solera (Lippert) /Carefree /Dometic slide topper?

Our slide toppers can replace the Carefree, Solera, or Dometic slide topper awning.

As we are different brands, you need and will only need to slightly adjust the position of the original installation brackets when mounting.

My RV came with awning rails installed over the slides, can these fabrics be slid into the factory rails?

Yes, you can use the awning with the current awning rails.

Do you offer an anti-billowing device for your Slide Topper Awnings? Can you tell me if a Dometic or Solera anti-billow device will work on your slide topper?

At the moment, we don’t offer anti-billow devices for slide topper awnings.

However, we have exciting news—our team is actively working on developing this product, and it’s expected to be available early next year.

For a Dometic or Solera anti-billow device, since different brands differ in product designs, we can't make sure if it will fit your awning. Therefore, we recommend installing the entire awning set, including the fabric and accessories, as a complete unit rather than separately.

This ensures proper fit and optimal performance for your awning system.

What can I do if no suitable awning size for me?

How much is the shipping?

Awnlux provides free shipping for orders over $100 to any destination within the continental United States.

Where is this awning being shipped from? When will it be delivered?

We ship from NJ or LA, usually, it takes 3-5 days on the way.

Alternatively, if you have special requirements, let us know and we can ship from China directly.

What happens after I place my order?

Once your transaction is complete, Awnlux will process your order, and you’ll receive a confirmation email along with an invoice for your purchase.

What happens if my product is damaged during shipment?

We apologize if this is the case. We could collect the damaged product and send you a replacement at no charge. Please note that it is your responsibility to inspect the shipment and shipping containers for damage on all merchandise received and note the damage on the delivery receipt.

How to make sure my installation position is stable enough?

Please ensure that the installation area has backing support for the brackets and sail track, allowing secure use of the screws.

Please ensure that the surface is smooth for optimal installation.

When installing the awning, it’s essential to use structural sealant or butyl tape to ensure a proper and secure fit.

How to adjust the loosen fabric?

How to take off the pins on the roller end?

Rolling the tube slightly, and try to pull out the pins

What can I do if I purchased a bigger size?

If the awning is around or less than 6 inches longer, please contact our service department at admin@awnlux.com to order longer hex rods.

If it exceeds 6 inches, you can cut the awning to the appropriate size. Both the awning fabric and tubes can be cut.

How far does the mounting roller hardware extend beyond the slide-out?

The fit of the awning will depend on how closely the awning size matches your slide-out. The mounting hardware can be adjusted to accommodate the size of the slide.

Please note that the roller and mounting hardware extend approximately 3 inches beyond the awning fabric on each side.

Hello I have 3 sides two of them are easy for me to determine the size. The third is my kitchen side it 10' 6" however the main awning is 1 1/2" from the edge of the slide out. That being said at 10' 6" the roller head will hit my main awning. Can you suggest how much smaller I need to go to avoid that. Thanks for your help.

Do you mean the main awning is 1 1/2" from the edge of the slide out? Can you provide us more pictures of the main awning and the kitchen slide out? And more details? According to your picture, the 10'6'' awning can be use on your kitchen slide out. Option 1. As the main awning is 1 1/2" from the edge of the slide out, when you install the slide out awning, you can move it a little bit to the other side (range 0.5~1 inch). That will be work.Option 2. You can diy cut the awning tube and fabric to the size as you need it to be.That will also be work.
