When replacing your RV awning, always start by securing the arms with duct tape or zip ties to prevent them from snapping back during removal. Work with a helper to manage the weight and size of the awning, especially when removing or installing the roller tube. Carefully release the tension in the springs (for manual awnings) before disassembly, and use a lubricant like soapy water to make sliding the new fabric into the awning rail easier.

Questions before you order an awning fabric for an RV

How can I confirm the awning fabric size I should choose?

Please kindly measure the awning size from the right arm center to the left arm center. Then the fabric size is 10 inch shorter than awning size

For example, if your awning size is 17 feet, your order fabric size is 16 feet 2 inch.

Will this work on a sunsetter motorized awning, or other brands like Carefree, Dometic, Lippert, Recpro manual awnings?

Yes, sunsetter awning is workable. Also our rv awning fabric can fit to Carefree, dometic, Shadepro, Recpro A&E power awning. Our awning fabric will fit to most brand awnings.

The awning I have has a metal roller cover the awning will that work with your awning?

Sorry, our awning fabric cannot work with the aluminium cover.

Does the replacement fabric come with double sided color?

No, our standard fabric with one side color on the top, white color at the bottom.

Can I use this to replace my home's (not rv) durason awning material? What is the extension size for 20 feet wide? thanks

Sure, It can fit to same awning, no matter home or RV. Our fabric standard extension size is 8 feet.

Do you have window awning fabric ?

Yes they do. I bought a replacement fabric for one of my windows.

Can this be cut to fit? I measured 11' 6" from center of left arm to center of right arm. Current awning is 10' 8" wide.

It's the fabric. Just the fabric and the piping to fit the fabric through the metal guide to assemble it to the RV.

Yes almost all manufacturers have gone to a universal fabrics making replacement fabrics very compatible.

Yes, the fabric is waterproof and UV protection.

Fabric for a 20-foot awning is 19' 2".

Is this awning printed on both sides is it just white underneath?

The underside of this fabric is solid white.

Question during the awning fabric installing

I ordered black fade fabric. Why I saw is white color?

Our awning fabric with black color on top and white color at the bottom.
In order to protect the black color, we folded the white color outside, which you saw. But you will find the black line on the edge. When you open the fabric, you will find the black fade.

Why the fabric is longer? There is no scalloped edge on the fabric

It seems you installed the fabric valance in the wrong way, that's why the fabric is longer.
To make sure our fabric fits different brands awning roller tubes, we only sewn the valance loop.
For the second loop, you need to move the tube in a clockwise direction, then press the fabric into the nearest roller groove.

Why I didn't see a third hole?

Different brands of roller's diameters are different, to make sure our fabric is suitable with different models, So Our valence is designed without a third hole.

There is a hole in the fabric. What should I do?

Step 1: find out the first groove of roller tube (which one is farthest to the RV body). Use the press plate to press the fabric on the the first groove, then insert the gray polycord.

Step 2: Use a press plate to press the fabric into the 2nd groove (which is close to the RV body) Keep the fabric is falt in the middle of the two grooves no wrinkle, then insert the gray polycord.

What I received was the wrong size.

Have you opened the fabric box? If not, could you please provide the LABEL photo at the upper left corner? It is convenient for us to check. If we make a mistake, we will timely reissue a new fabric to you

Where is the pull strap?

Generally, Our fabrics and straps are placed in the same bag.
