The instructions were very detailed and left no room for error. I spent a few afternoons assembling and staging during spare time, and the process was straightforward. The three-bracket design made installation simple enough for one person—just set the awning assembly in place, center it, and secure it with two fasteners per bracket. I did need to loosen the end cap to make installing the top cover easier, but overall, the installation went smoothly. I’m very pleased with the look and quality of the finished product.
I’m very happy I ordered this awning for my truck. When I saw the price I was not expecting it to be so good of a quality. When it came in I was super impressed with how good it’s made. The vinyl is very thick and looks durable . I installed it on my truck by myself in less than 15 minutes. I completely 100% recommend getting it. Installed this by myself in about 2 hrs. So far I guess it has cut down my ac running maybe 10%--still tracking that. Helps with debri on slide also--don't have to clean as much before I bring the slide in.
We bought a 10' awning to shield our customers from the Florida sun while placing and picking up orders from our Thai Food Trailer business.
We installed it ourselves after watching the videos from the Awnlux website.
We used hardware purchased from a big box store as we wanted the hardware to pass all the way through both the outside and inside walls with backing plates on the inside for additional strength.
We also used an adhesive to secure the frame to the outside wall for additional strength during the sudden wind gusts that we experience in Florida.
Overall, the product quality is top notch, the construction of the two piece tubes was excellent. Assembly was straight forward after watching the videos a couple times to get the sequence down.
The black frame matches the blackout trim package on our trailer.
I only wish that a vendor would sell a Yellow awning to also blend to our color branding for our trailer.

Got to off the tippers installed in a little over an hour. The trailer already had the slide rails installed so we did not have to install Awnlux’s slide rails. Only complaint is the screws that came with the awnings are cheap. Had 3 of them snap the heads off even though I was going slow with them. I have no way of removing the screws with the broken heads now. The instructions for the most part are accurate. It would be helpful to list that it is important to make sure that the awning is the same distance from slide out box on both ends. 1 end after installing was slightly off and had to be adjusted.
We finally had an opportunity to take the trailer out camping with the new slide out toppers. We have a big storm move through. The slide out toppers held well in the rain and wind. Very little movement in the wind. The longer slide out toppers held well did hold water due to the amount of rain that fell. We brought the slide in about 1/2 way and the water dumped quickly off of the slide out topper. The roof of the slide out was dry. After dumping the water, the slide out topper went back to being tight.
We did have one of the poly cords snap when installing it in the slide rail. Contacting customer service and the immediately sent out another set of poly cords.
These toppers are worth the cost. They are well made and I think better than the big box brands. I would recommend these if you are interested in protecting the roof of the slide out.
