Preparation before Installation: Prepare the installation tools and check the accessories

Step 1: L SHAPE BRACKET AND ROOF RACK CONNECTION
1. Please open the package and find the accessory kit bag.
2. Take out the L-shaped bracket, heel block, and fixation screws. Fix the brackets in the appropriate position of the luggage rack.
Install according to the type of roof rack
Ensure proper spacing and structural stability.
Step 2: AWNLUX CAR SIDE HARD SHELL AWNING BRACKET INSTALLATION STEP
1. Insert the screw into hole No.1 from the inside of bracket.
2. Put another screw into hole No.2 and slide it along the track to the appropriate point.
3. Insert the screw in hole No.2 into the hole corresponding to the bracket, and adjust the distance of the bracket based on the installation position.
4. Connect the awning bracket with L L-shaped bracket and lock all mounting screws securely.
Tips: Please note that the distance between the opening height of the trunk and the two installation brackets should be more than one meter to ensure the balance of force on the awning shell and enhance its awning service life

III. Troubleshooting During Use
1. The lock cannot be opened properly.
Operation Tips: Use one finger to press down on one end of the latch, and use the other finger to gently lift the end with the "Awnlux" mark. Avoid using brute force to pull, as this may cause damage to the components.
2. The front bar is stuck and difficult to release.
Correct method: Grasp the groove at the front end of the bar with both hands, lift upwards, and pull the bar forward while tilting it. Avoid applying excessive force on one side to prevent structural deformation.
3. Fabric misalignment or uneven surface
Leveling steps:
First, fully reopen the semi-automatic car side awning. Check whether the fabric on both sides of the inner roll tube of the awning cover is evenly distributed. If they are not, pull the fabric on the side with less fabric a little to ensure the balance of the fabric on both sides of the roll tube. Then, proceed with the following operations.
Try to fold up the hard shell semi-automatic car side awning. When folding, keep the front pole balanced with both hands. If you find the fabric is deviating, tilt the folding process towards the non-deviating fabric side and continue until the fabric on both sides is balanced.
4. The peg cannot be inserted into the ground.

5. Be careful when fixing the Velcro.
When attaching the Velcro to the vertical rod, do not forcefully pull or drag it; otherwise, the Velcro will be too tightly attached, causing the vertical rod to be bent.
IV.Troubleshooting for Spring Issues
All awnings will be strictly tested before leaving the factory, but in the long-term use process, the torsion spring may fail and the fabric cannot be automatically rolled back. For driving safety, please follow the steps to adjust, and when the car returns to a safe place, please contact the manufacturer to purchase accessories to replace the spring system.
Spring failure: the fabric cannot retract automatically.
Method 1: Emergency manual recovery
Locate the roller tube position, then manually rotate the roller tube slowly in the direction of the tarpaulin roll (refer to the illustration) until the fabric is completely retracted.
Method 2: Adjustment of the Internal Bolt
1.Remove the lock cover
2.Pull the hook of the decorative cover and remove it.
3.Please use a hex wrench to manually adjust the inner bolt in a counterclockwise direction in the figure until the fabric is roll up.
